Role: Coordinate and assist Director of Youth Financial Education with youth financial activities, i.e. banking days, youth community events, financial education outreach, CU 4 Reality planning and more. Assist Youth Financial Educator with high school branch operations as needed.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the preparation of instructional materials and handouts/letters for students, teachers, parents and marketing as needed.
  • Represents the credit union at schools, and other youth related functions in the community such as, assemblies, graduations, open houses, student contests, etc. May require evening or weekend hours.
  • Assists in monitoring youth account growth through reports. Develops strategies to increase youth accounts and retention.
  • When school is closed works at another credit union location. May in staffing emergencies work in a member facing position.

Requirements

Experience: Two years to five years of similar or related experience.

 

Education: (1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.

 

Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
