Job Overview

 

Distribute products received in and manufactured, while helping to maintain accurate and adequate inventory levels.

 

Essential Elements

  • Receive product from manufacturing and suppliers, identify, move and store (as necessary). Complete flow receipt transaction.

  • Review traveler component demand, pull parts and pack for shipment. Analyze discrepancies and advise originator of any inabilities to fill demand.

  • Identify and verify count of end items, flow receipt and move to Shipping.

  • Transfer component inventory into appropriate bins, verify count, flow receipt and move to supermarket locations on Assembly floor.

  • Monitors pull cards for appropriate inventory.

  • Deliver pull cards to specified mailboxes.

  • Cross train/fill in with other inventory management positions (receiving, shipping, etc.) as needed.

  • Forklift certification, ability to safely use forklift and hand truck.

  • Keep work area neat, clean and organized using the 5S+ safety approach.

  • Follow all OSHA compliance regulations.

  • Move materials as necessary or as directed. Detect and report improper operation of faulty equipment and unusual conditions to the supervisor.

  • Assist in establishing point of use storage.

  • Perform cycle counts as required or requested, fill out proper paperwork.

  • Ensure work area and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe and orderly condition and that prescribed safety measures and procedures are followed.

  • Perform other duties as requested or required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player

  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills and interface with all departments

  • Ability to read written instructions and take verbal instructions

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and work under time constraints

  • Ability to adapt to changing roles and changing priorities

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to adhere to all safety protocol

  • Ability to stand on your feet for 8-10 hours per day

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and utilize assisting devices for heavier lifting.

  • Operators of Powered industrial trucks shall be physically qualified, including field of vision, hearing, depth perception and reaction timing.

  • Ability to squat, bend and turn multiple times throughout the day everyday

  • Ability to load, unload, push and pull carts, products, boxes throughout the day every day
