Job Details

Responsible for all aspects of building and grounds maintenance for all stateside Service Credit Union facilities.  Responsible for noting and reporting any safety or environmental problems within the same facilities.
Responsible to keep up on the preventive maintenance program. 
Performs varying daily work duties at varying locations with flexibility and be responsible for prioritization, time management and organization of work duties with the ability to be redirected at any given time and still possess a service oriented attitude.  
Provide back up for shipping and receiving.
Provide back up for custodial position to include building cleaning at any of SCU properties.
Flexibility to adjust to changing schedules.



Maintain company vehicles: Inspections/registrations/cleaning and keeping service appointments.

Perform facility inspections for items needing repair, replacement or for budgeting purpose. 

Preventive maintenance and follow up on regularly scheduled maintenance to include changing water filters, generator inspections and regular testing, etc.
Prepare expense reports.

Provide input into development of operating budget for assigned area of responsibility.

Facility maintenance to include, but not limited to, changing light bulbs and electrical ballasts, roof patching, ceiling tile replacement, painting, carpentry, plumbing apparatus.

Housekeeping / yard keeping to include, but not limited to, keeping lawns free of trash and debris, sweeping sidewalks and gazebo, keeping picnic tables clean, regularly clean roof drains, shovel & salting sidewalks.

Understand the operation of equipment such as HVAC, generator, sump pump, irrigation systems, booster pumps etc.

Keeps office equipment and furniture operational by completing repairs and installation of replacement parts.

Branch visits to inspect facilities and grounds and make recommendations as a result of facility and grounds inspections and to assist with corrective actions as necessary for repair, or preventative maintenance.  Deliver forms orders to branches, as available, while scheduled to go on site for maintenance.


Possess valid driver’s license and maintain clean driving record. Able to lift 70 pounds.  Mechanical ability in order to accomplish general maintenance in the areas of but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting. 

General knowledge of practices, methods, tools and equipment used in general maintenance work; general knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions associated with work.  Must have the ability to resolve problems and make recommendations in problem resolution.

Must be organized and neat with an attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  Must also possess good organizational and oral communications skills; and ability to work as part of a team.  Must have computer skills utilizing word, excel, outlook. Familiarity with fire code, life safety codes and OSHA safety regulations helpful.

Physically able to accomplish tasks

Valid driver’s license

Clean driving record

High School diploma

Minimum 2 years previous related work experience required

Computer skills in Outlook, Word, Excel
