Facilities & Grounds Maintainer
Description

The Town of New Durham seeks one flexible individual to serve
in a year-round part-time capacity (30 hrs. per week avg.).

The individual must be able to work in all climatic conditions
and be capable of lifting 75 lbs. Facilities Grounds &
Maintainer position is responsible for. but not limited to, the
maintenance of Town buildings, public parks, cemeteries,
recreation fields and other public grounds in accordance with
Highway Department. Recreation Commission and Cemetery
Trustees policies and procedures. Responsible for the skilled
and safe operation of assigned light duty trucks, miscellaneous
small equipment and hand and power tools used in grounds
work and light equipment operations. The individual will
perform manual labor tasks incidental to the operation and
maintenance of assigned equipment: such as the loading and
unloading of materials and the performance of unskilled and
semi-skilled work on construction and maintenance projects.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, plus (1)
one year experience in the operation and operation of light
commercial trucks and small equipment and. in landscaping,
construction, and maintenance, or any combination of
education and experience which demonstrates possession of
the knowledge, skills and abilities. A NH Commercial driving
license. Class A or B with airbrake and tank endorsement
preferred. A wage range of $12.00 - $15.00 will be dependent
upon qualifications.
