Job Details

Favreau Electric is an electrical contracting company which has been offering all phases of electrical construction in the New England area since 1976. Favreau Electric provides electrical services for large and small scale commercial clients throughout Maine.

 

Responsibilities

  • Review RFP/RFQ specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate, in order to meet or exceed customer specification requirements
  • Work well with suppliers/vendors in obtaining pricing
  • Categorize and schedule bid requests
  • Send, receive & organize quote requests to vendors
  • Assist with submittals and documents
  • Job site visits
  • Perform counts and takeoffs from drawings
  • Assist with job schedule and cost tracking
  • Prepare accurate, detailed and disciplined estimates with minimal data
  • Work with Project Managers on change orders for awarded projects
  • Keep track of materials, schedule deliveries, coordinate changes, returns and warranties
  • Demonstrate a good time keeping record, to include dependability and punctuality
  • Must work well under pressure
  • Other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Knowledge & Skill Required

  • Experience estimating projects from $200,000 to $5,000,000
  • Ability to read Electrical Drawings for Commercial and Healthcare Applications
  • Ability to read and understand Commercial Documents
  • Knowledge of the N.E.C. and local codes
  • Ability to understand basic circuitry for power and lighting and layout on drawings
  • Understand fire alarm system wiring methods and layout on drawings
  • Ability to understand and accurately interpret  construction documents (drawings, specifications, contract/general conditions, etc.) at all levels of design
  • Experience in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
  • Ability to multitask - work on several different projects simultaneously
  • Possess excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team player with a positive attitude
  • Strong sense of customer urgency
  • Willingness to learn
